Campanile Hotel Nice Centre Acropolis - Nice, France

The hotel is in a convenient area, within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. We parked our car in the lot across the street which was relatively safe though not particularly cheap. I believe we paid about 190euros or so for parking overnight (+ some time in the late morning/early afternoon). We did not have breakfast at the hotel so can not comment on the food. There is a decent cafe close-by (1 min walk) so we ate there instead and saved on breakfast cost. The hotel has free internet access which is a plus, though the system was down during my 2-night stay =( I would stay at the hotel again if I'm in Nice next time because of the price/quality. If you are looking for a very basic, relatively inexpensive, clean hotel then this is a good choice.

Staff are very helpful, hotel location is good, rooms could do with some work and English TV channels

Excellent location near Acropolis where our convention was held. Also near the main bus station and Old Town. Many nice restaurants near the area and the tram is convenient for getting to other parts of town. Our room overlooks the gardens making my wife very happy even though the room is really too small for two persons. There is even no place for our luggage. The coffee/tea making facility and the free internet makes up for the too small room. It is our first time to book with Campanille and can say their people are friendly and helpful.

If you need simple good value I recommend it here. Just steps away from the bustling night life of the old Nice you're not far from the maze of restaurants that make old Nice such a neat attraction. Maybe 15 mins away from the more expensive main strip on the beach area. I found the value to be a bargain and covered my needs. Clean rooms with hardwood flooring and very helpful front desk. No gimmicks no frills.. just a solid stay for a good price. If you're on a budget I'd recommend it here.
