I stayed at the Hotel Azur with my girlfriend for 3 nights in July 2007. I paid 68 EUR per night through Venere.com, although breakfast was not included. The room was small, but adequate with a comfortable double bed, and an en-suite bathroom. The shower was excellent and the room also had a fan and a small TV.
The hotel was clean and in generally good upkeep. The staff were helpful and luggage could be left at the reception. Note that there was no lift, so there are several stairs to climb to your room, particularly if you are on the top floor (5th I think).
The continental breakfast was good, but expensive at EUR 7.50 per person. It was served either in a small dining room or a nice but small back garden.
The hotel location was good at the top end of Canebiere (the main street) as long as you are prepared for a short walk. It was only 15 minutes walk to Vieux Port (the old port) and 10 minutes walk to the railway station (Gare St Charles). There was also a metro and tram stop about 2 minutes walk.
I would recommend this hotel for the price (apart from the expensive breakfast).
