I was a bit worried when I saw the reviews of this hotel however when we stayed we had a wonderful time. We stayed in Walton Hall in one of their suites. The room was really big with another reception room and huge bathroom. The bathroom had a tv which looked like a mirror until you turned it on so you could have a bath and watch tv at the same time!
We had booked a massage which was lovely, although if you are looking for a Spa hotel this isn't really one. It has a swimming pool, gym and beauty area but it is quite small.
The only down side to our visit was the restaurant. The food was of a high standard but portions were very small, my husband thought the couple next to us were on their starters when actually they were on their main course. Main course of Steak was ?25 but very small with one new potatoe and one small asparagus sprig and a slither of carrot puree!
On the whole this was a great break in a lovely setting but the restaurant let us down considering the amount we had spent.
