Kyriad La Ferte Bernard - La Ferte-Bernard, France     

I was pleasantly surprised by this little hotel. Although on the main highway into town, the rooms were small but clean and very quiet. The rooms are stocked with coffee and tea, a kettle and a couple of packets of biscuits. It is only a short five minute walk to the lake or into the town itself, which is lovely. The restaurant is excellent and very reasonable. Buffets are available for lunch and dinner with a variety of dishes. Menu items and daily specials, all excellently prepared, are also available The desserts were decadant!. Be warned though, this restaurant is busy at lunch! (A good sign in my books). There is also a very nice outdoor patio and indoor lounge. The staff was friendly and professional, the atmosphere relaxed. The grounds are clean and well maintained. A nice little hotel with very reasonable prices.
