If you are looking to stay in Deauville then this is not your hotel, it is perfectly comfortable - (all be it with a strange prefabricated bathroom within the room that was a bit like a building site toilet with a shower) but is a good few miles out of the centre of the pompous town of Deauville on the opposite side of the river from a semi industrial / retail estate at the far end of the race course. There is a great little bar / cafe by the turning for the hotel, can't remember the name but the one with the yellow sunshade - cheap, good quality & very friendly - even if your French is limited !!!
