We stayed here for three nights. Very surprised at the quality and level of service, the rooms and swimming pool etc. We were apprehensive about staying here after some of the less than complimentary reviews on this website. Although all of the staff were quite young, they were excellent, very friendly and provided very professional service. This was in contrast to the Radisson in Marseille where all of the staff seemed either bored, supercilious or just went through the motions. Excellent Italian style poolside restaurant in conjunction with a really good pool for swimming in (for people with very young kids please note the minimum height of the pool was 1.60 metres). Very plush sun loungers and just a really nice pool to relax by. The hotel is 10 to 15 minutes walk to the Cours Mirabeau. Breakfast in the hotel was good (?12 euro a head), if you find this pricey there were two bars about three minutes walk from the hotel on the way to the city centre which both did a very good cheap breakfast. The room was very spacious and comfortable with cable tv, english channels etc. We were pleasantly surprised by all aspects of our stay and would highly recommend this hotel . We booked directly through the Best Western website and paid only slightly over half of the normal price for the start of July.

Was looking for a chill-out, get-away-from-it all weekend and secured a cheapo Ryanair flight to Marseille and booked a couple of nights here. (Aix is so easy to get to from the airport, direct bus etc.) The hotel was quite adequate with friendly , helpful staff; the pool is a definite bonus and i chilled out there for a day and a half (functional rather than picturesque!). The advertised poolside bar wasnt open - boo - but then there really wasnt the demand for it! The 10min walk past the car showrooms to get to the town centre is a bit of a draw back (Aquabella looked nicer , better setting for the pool and was handier for the town centre). Wasnt cheap at ?90/night r/o. All-in-all quite acceptable. Eating-out tip: just head for the area between the Hotel de Ville and Place Charles de Gaulle - a myriad of restaurants,; Le Facteur was awesome, but others i tried were good as well.
