Where to start. First when we arrived at the Reception, the woman told us to make sure to lock everything as they usually have break ins. She is an honest woman because true to her word we had an attempted break in at 2 a.m that first night. Then at 4 am that same night the cops came to see if we had a break in and to tell us not to open the door to anyone. The receptionist had explained to my wife how the burglers firstly spray some gas into the apartment to knock you out, steal your valuables and car keys, then proceed to the bedroom where they give you a kiss goodnight before covering your head with the blankets. My wife and three young girls had to sleep together while i stayed(not slept) on the couch. Every night we had to put the tables and chairs against the doors and windows and empty beer cans on the door handles to make noise just in case. Torrevieja promenade and its beaches are fab. The restaurants are very good but come night time when we had to go back to that dump, we were nervous wrecks. We had to stay there as we could`nt afford to move to another complex and did`nt want to take a chance and we even considered going back home. Now i wish we did. Did i mention the cockroaches that greeted us every night and the fact we got bedlinen to last us the two weeks which was to be changed every week. There is no restaurant only a bar with some kind of food. The steps on the side of the pool got fixed one week into our holiday. It`s your decision.
