Hotel Manzoni - Montecatini Terme, Italy     

This was a package tour for a week in November 2007. The room was clean and large. The food was great. The wait staff excellent. Hotel situated to walking distance to the center of town. We found everyone helpful at the front desk. I would stay there again and would recomment it to anyone.

We stayed at the hotel Manzoni Sept 5 - 11 and found it a little shabby. The room was okay, bigger by Italian standards with a nice bathroom. However, we didn't find it terribly clean.One day (Sunday) the room was not cleaned at all. The bed was made, however our used towels were just folded and put back out and the rug could have used a good vacuum! Maybe because it was Sunday there was minimal cleaning staff available. With our package we had breakfast and dinner included. Both meals were sub standard. At breakfast the food was minimal not much variety and not enough. If you headed down past 7:30 you were left with crumbs ,with the wait staff saying there was no food left. They stated we should have come down earlier?? The dinners were geared to tourists. Who would want to go to Italy and eat a meal they could get at home (ie pork chops)??? We stuck it out for two nights and then went elsewhere and had great meals. I've stayed at better 2 star hotels in Italy and this one does not compair in the least. This hotel should not be rated at 3, and I would not stay here again.
