The hotel is situated in a quiet, panoramic area on Sorrento hill. Just a few metres away is the bus stop to Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi.

2 km from the hotel is a small village called Sant'Agata where you can find shops, supermarkets and other entertainments.

I had to return to TripAdvisor to thank everyone who sent comments and suggestions for my recent trip to Sorrento, Italy. It was through this website that I learned of Hotel Residence Le Terrazze, and it was everything we could have hoped for! The view really is spectacular, from every vantage point (whether it's in dinner's formal dining room, the charming breakfast area, the outdoor patio, the pool, or our private patio right outside our room). While some travelers may wish to have beachside hotels, if you prefer a cliffside view (not to mention a quieter atmosphere and far more reasonable rates) this is the hotel to stay at. The food is good, staff friendly, pool wonderful at the end of a long hot day. And you're very centrally located. Although you're high up the hill from Sorrento, you're in a great location to travel to Amalfi, Positano, etc. (Positano was our family favorite!). One suggestion: it really makes a world of difference to rent a car (we rented ours in Naples, which is only an hour away) so that you can travel easily to all the amazing sites you want to (Pompeii is nearby as well). With such small cars and trucks (who knew a truck could get that small?!), and a majority of motocycles and scooters, the small cliff roads feel much more navigatable than on those large tour buses. So don't be scared to drive there. However, if you do not have a car, the hotel helps you make arrangements with the various bus tours which stop in front of the hotel.
