Aqua Hotel Montagut - Santa Susana, Spain 

got a last minute deal to this hotel with thomas cook. We were well impressed with this hotel. The rooms are a suite rather than a room. One twin bedroom, a lounge area and a good size bathroom. Rooms very clean and modern. We went on a half board basis and the food was varried and of a good quality. For breakfast a wide range of hot foods, breads and pastries. You could have a glass of cava if you were up to it at nine in the morning. For evening meal there was soups, salads several choices of fish, meat etc fresh fruit and desserts The pool area was nice, but the pool was rather chilly. Santa susanna is a quite resort but there are ample bars and restarants. The resort also has good train links to barcalonea which i will be doing on our return visit later in the year. We are returning to this hotel so you can see we would recommend it

First and most importantly the hotel was very clean. It was quiet (we were on the top floor) and it was a good value for money hotel. we paid ?422 (total) for 7 nights half board, flights, transfers and suite.so we think we really had a bargain. ROOM We paid the extra for a suite and it was worth it it has a sofa and bed in two seperate areas (partitioned) and two balconies. The shower was really powerful and tha bath quite big. No air con though and The TV only had 2 English chanels- not that it really mattered. FOOD the food was varied im really funny with undercooked food and everything was cooked well if not always very very hot. There was a large selection of food and no not all of it was to our taste but we certanly found enought to eat and leave stuffed every night. The breakfast was good too nice steaky bacon and HP sauce! HA HA ENTERTAINMENT the entertainment was a bit pants to be honest there were variety acts on and singers but notthing is would pay to watch. POOL nice open area with some shade a clean pool and a childrens pool too, neither were headed though. AREA close to ameineteies a good supermarket behind it and close to some good pubs, and bars. The train station is 10 mins walk away and the next town Malgrat is 15 mins walk away. NOTE: if you done like foregners dont go to this hotel there were only about 5% Brits. it didnt bother us but just a warning to those who it might!
