We arrived at Jaime 1 quite late at night, but the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had been told that all the english were dumped in block 3, and it was no surprise that we were also staying in block 3. However, we didn't have that many problems with it. The room was adequate for myself, my husband and my 4 year old son. It did get a bit noisy with kids running around very late at night, but it wasn't every night, and on the whole it was quite quiet at night (could imagine it would be noisy in peak season though. It was really quiet in the english block in October). The hotel was predominantly full of spanish guests, and we found them to be quite rude, but we spent most of our time at Port Aventura anyway. My biggest moan about the Jaime 1is the food and dining room. It was a huge scramble to get to dinner, queuing up outside the dining room. Then the tables were often busy, and you had to hunt to get a table. The food wasn't great and forget it if you are veggie!! Swimming pools were also cold, but hey it was October! Jacuzzis were nice but idiots chucked foam into them on our last day, so they were out of action. Entertainment was fine, and the parc infantil for children was a bonus. We would not necessarily choose the Jaime 1 again, but it certainly isn't as terrible, out of high season, as some reviews would have you believe. It was a cheap break for us, and it was fine.

well what can i say the reveiews that i had previosly read on this hotel i thought were from moaney people and went with an open mind well what can i say the food i would not give to my pats (if i had any) the staff were more arrogant than anybody i had ever come across (unless you were spanish, then they would even wie your backside) we went in a large party and when our friends were asked to sleep in the lobby at 5 months pregnant due to an administration error well you make up your own mind but on a good note the location was great and salou itself was fab will go to salou again definately not the jaime 1. Also the air conditioning is switched of on the 16th september and the my travel rep is great for passing the buck. happy holidaying
