After reading many many reviews of this hotel i thought twice AFTER I BOOKED THIS HOTEL. First thing i noticed about this complex was the lack of english people. I read alot of reviews refering to a very spanish holiday, i couldn't help but think "well you go to Spain u expect to see alot of spanish people". well i understood what they meant right away. The first evening we went for tea (we went al inclusive) and we didnt see one english person in the restaurant, everyone was spanish and they made it known. We had many stares to the point we felt uncomftable (i went with my fiancee and and son of 22 months), not a nice feeling. The first 2 days were uncomftable for me and my family as we found MOST of the spanish holidaymakers to be very very rude. They continually stared and were not welcoming at all, dont get me wrong we did me some nice spanish people, but 95% were rude and ignorant (MOST members of staff we found to be very nice). After the first 2 days we came to ignore ll the negatives and made a good holiday of it .Once you take that 15 minute walk to the town it was nice and people were very welcoming (english and spanish). What i will say is expect to experience alot of spanish culture as this hotel/complex is 98% spanish. On a good note the hotel is very clean and the made service/housekeeping is very efficient (as long as u vacate your room when THEY are ready to clean as they let u know THEY are ready to clean your room) and the pool is fantastic. To finish i will say we had a great holiday once we got used to the spanish feel, just be prepared to have a very spanish holiday (as our rep said "you are in Spain"). Hope you find this useful!

we have just returned from Roquetas de Mar the resort is very pleasent suitable for anyone looking for a quiet break. We stayed at the Zoraidia Gardens for 14 days with our daughter in law and two grandchildren aged five and 17 months old The staff were friendly and good with children The first week they were cleaning the carpets in the corridoor and still painting the outside stage I was disapointed that there was no hair dryer or fridge in our rooms We were given a road veiw it was extra for a seaveiw but the pool area was good and my grandchildren enjoyed this very much the beach was unpleasent for the children because it was shingles and not sand. the food was just warm but the fish bar was excellent and freashly cooked On the second week we could not get a sunbed no matter how early we tried . We did not find great hospitality anywhere except at the bar Spinnaker where Dave and Carol was most welcoming and went out of their way to organise a cake for my husband birthday overall the resort is pleasent and suitable for older people and familys with children
