Vincci Ciudad de Salamanca - Salamanca, Spain 

Even though it is true the hotel is a bit far off, and the neighbourhood is not that good, it is still a good option for visitor to Salamanca, as it is modern but not too expensive (more orientated towards the MICE-business than tourism), and it has a garage, which is important considering most people visit Salamanca by car. Other, better situated hotels also have parking lots, but due to the exclusiveness of the properties (medieval buildings under cultural heritage-protection, etc) the prices are higher. So, in the end, you can pay a bit less, leave the car in the underground garage, and take a cab to the city-centre, across the bridge over the Tormes river.... I cannot agree with the comments about the staff, as I found them more than helpful. But maybe being Spanish helps a lot in some places. Can't say about breakfast though as I didn't have any.

Very good price and high quality rooms, large, good beds. Location to town excellent, a little foot work required, but not more than a ten minute walk across the park to the roman bridge. All in all had a good stay.
