Terraza - Roses, Spain     

We have stayed in this hotel 3 or 4 times over the past 2 years. The rooms are clean, have a balcony, air conditioning and mini bar. There is a garden with a pool, then a walk way to the town then another bit of garden which leads on the the beach which is clean. so you can have the best of both worlds. They have added a spa on the roof but we did not use that. The staff on reception have excellent English and are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is included in the rate and is excellent, lots of juices, fresh fruit, cooked food, cereals, breads and the list goes on. When we stayed the weather was bit changeable but they happily set up a table for us outside for breakfast when the weather was fine. We did not eat dinner in the hotel, preferring to walk up to the town which is easily walkable. I agree with the other reviewer there are more English staying than previously but I noticed that it is in the Michelin Guide 2007.

This year is the fourth time we have stayed here, and have noted that more English are \staying, although the majority are French and Germans with a large Spanish influx at weekends. Limited English spoken. A good hotel with the beach across the prommenade. The attached photo is from a bedroom window. Food was better four to five years ago, but still good.
