The hotel’s superb facilities include a buffet restaurant with open kitchen and show cooking, outdoor and indoor heated swimming pools and a daily entertainment programme featuring table tennis, shuffleboard, mini-golf and rifle shooting. There is also a programme of evening entertainment with live shows and entertainment for all the family.

All of the hotel’s 496 comfortable rooms are well-equipped, with all the modern comforts and facilities you need to enjoy a restful, relaxing holiday, including air conditioning.

There are plenty of restaurants, shops, bars and pubs in the area immediately surrounding the hotel and bicycles are available for hire if you wish to explore further afield.

There is an outdoor themed swimming pool with water slides, jets and a jacuzzi for over 16’s only which is surrounded with a sun deck area with palms. The heated indoor swimming pool with a whirlpool is open from the 16th of September to the 15th of June.

Location

Situated on the Costa de Almería, Roquetas de Mar features many good beaches with amenities for water sports. There are also tennis, horse riding and golf facilities: the Golf Playaserena course is 400 metres away and another 2 courses are 10 km away. Roquetas de Mar organises a multitude of cultural activities; throughout the year plays and concerts take place in the theatre and auditorium. The resort also features a lighthouse which is an exhibition hall at the moment, but every fortnight it houses painting or photography exhibitions.

To the south-east of Almeria 56 km from Roquetas there is Cabo de Gata, a natural paradise with much to offer scuba divers. Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park is recognised by UNESCO as one of the most beautiful and wild spaces of Andalusia.

Tabernas is the only semi-dry desert in Europe where some of the most famous westerns have been filmed. It has been renovated and converted into "Oasys" one the most inventive theme parks in the Mediterranean.

The Cuarto Creciente Restaurant serves a breakfast buffet which offers a wide collection of products and show-cooking. The lunch and dinner buffets provide a variety of cold and hot dishes. The restaurant houses a baby corner with complimentary facilities. The hotel also caters for Coeliacs with a range of gluten and wheat free products in association with COELIAC and F.A.C.E. If you have special dietary needs and requirements please contact the hotel prior to your arrival. The opening times are seasonal so please ask at reception. Gentlemen must wear long trousers in the restaurant.

There is also the Luna saloon bar and the Alcazaba theatre bar. The Almadraba Beach Club is located on the same maritime boardwalk that leads to the beach during peak season only.

The inclusive board offers

We went to the PlayaLuna the second week in August the hotel was very busy,mainly Spanish people(but thats what we would expect in Spain) the atmosphere felt very good. We had a double room which had air conditioning and was kept spotless by the cleaning staff,which we found very friendly,in fact all the staff we met went out of their way to make you welcome. Quite a few of the staff could not speak English,but we can't speak Spanish,thats the way it goes,we got by,we comunicated. The restaurant and food was excellent,expect to put on a few pounds though,also the pool area very spacious and plenty of beds with clean towels every day.Once you go thro' the security gate in the pool area the beach is approx 20 yards then miles of golden beach and the weather was very hot. We would certainly go again and again and again. Thank you PlayaLuna for making our holiday. Best Wishes
