Protur Palmeras Playa - Sa Coma, Spain 

my husband and i have returned from 2 weeks stay at Palmeras Playa and we had a fantastic time and we will definitely return. The location couldn't be better, Only a minute from Sa Coma beach, across the road from a Spar. The bus stop and train stop is outside the hotel and runs frequently, 10 minutes walk right facing the beach to S'elliot to a smaller beach where you will find Onkel Willy's restaurant where you can have great fish dishes for reasonable prices, service is good. Or you can go into Sa Coma along a stretch where there are lots of bars and restaurants to chose from to suit everyone, Gabriel who runs the British sports bar and had all matches showing on 4 screens kept us entertained. Juans Steak house is the place for a perfect steak, The Royal Oak did every dish imaginable and in great proportion or go to El Sol for a paella or local dish. JJ's near the crazy golf does a good breakfast. The market is on a wed from 17.15. All is quiet after midnight where doors are closed although you can continue to stay and drink until 3am. There is lots for kids to do and it is very child friendly in and out of the hotel, the shops sale inflatable beds for the beach for only 6 euros as the beds on the beach cost 10 euro for 2 it is worth getting two to use for the week as you can take inflatables in the pool as well. As for the hotel we stayed self catering and for a 3 star were very impressed, the room was large, imaculate and cleaned 5 days a week, the hotel staff were very helpful and spoke good english, toilet roll, hand wash and shower/shampoo was also provided in the room. The hotel and resort also have a lot of German quests but are not allowed to reserve beds. I loved staying here and found it totally relaxing, we couldn't hear any noise from inside the room. Everyone was friendly wherever we went, I can't wait to go back and if I had young children it would be a good choice. Cala Millor is a busier resort and worth a visit on the train or open top bus and a visit to the caves by boat is worth doing and reasonable price.

People need to be warned about this hotel ~ they have a policy of double booking and then ringing people within 24 hours of departure. This booking was made over a month ago ~ so no excuse for such short notice on the cancellation (which was made by the hotel themselves). Everything was in writing and confirmed, no reason to doubt the reservation was safe. THIS RESERVATION WAS FOR 14 nights ~ down to nothing! Anyone booking here should be very wary of the above information ~ I have also heard that people are sometimes told of double booking upon arrival too! You have beed warned.
