Location
There are many places of interest in the surrounding area and those mentioned below are within a 5 km radius of the hotel.
Casa Consitorial-Ayuntamiento – The Town Hall is home to the offices of the municipal government. It owes its iconic status to the start of the San Fermin festival. Every 6 July, the Chupinazo, the rocket that starts off the San Fermin festival, is fired from the central balcony of its baroque façade.
Plaza Castillo - La Plaza Castillo is right in the centre of the city. Nowadays, it is the meeting point for the people of Pamplona. It houses numerous terraces and cafés, including some of the city’s most famous, such as Café Iruña, Casino Principal or Casino Eslava.
Parque de la Ciudadela - The Ciudadela of Pamplona is one of the most important collections of defences of renaissance military architecture in Europe. It contains a peaceful park with small trees and lawns, and modern, innovative sculptural works.
Parque de Yamaguchi- The good relationship between the sister cities of Pamplona and Yamaguchi has resulted in the building of this oriental park. It is a large green area featuring ornamental elements typical of Japanese culture: a large geyser, a palafitte, a lake with a bridge and a waterfall. Inside the park is the Pamplona Planetarium, with various different programmes and space exhibitions.
Pamplona is also a city with plenty of businesses and shops, especially in the centre. In the streets of the old town centre, you can find the city’s largest concentration of clothes, shoe, leather goods and perfume shops.
Closer to the hotel, there is also the Morea shopping centre located in the Galaria Retail Park, itself. This shopping centre is packed with loads of shops and also houses a variety of restaurants, multiplex cinemas, a bowling alley and fitness centres.

We stayed a long-weekend in Pamplona for both business and pleasure. The majority of the hotels in the centre of Pamplona are a bit out-dated so we chose to stay in the newly-opened Zenit based on the numerous positive reviews.
The hotel is very easily accesible and clearly marked from the highway. It is next to a shopping mall, La Morea. This was very handy as there is also a large super market, a cinema and several restaurants. On the sunday night we dined in an Italian restuarant called Carlucci's- good food and service.
Back to the hotel, the check-in was fine but the first room we were given on the 2nd floor faced the back of the hotel. I wanted to be on a higher floor so we agreed to stay on the 4th floor, despite it being the smoking floor. We didn't notice any smoke smells and usually I am quite sensitive to this. The view was much better from this floor and faced the front of the hotel. The room was adequately sound-proofed, large with a wonderful comfortable bed, large closet, flat screen TV, and a very big bathroom with a very long tub.
It was only an 8 EUR taxi to the centre of Pamplona, making this still a really good deal. The hotel staff were very pleasant and when they called us taxis it only took a few minutes to arrive. The breakfast was quite good by spanish standards, with something for everyone. We will definately stay here again.
