I visited palma in August 05, I travelled alone and chose the Araxa hotel because of the location it's a family run hotel and because it only accomodated a certain number of guests. On first sight it is an attractive hotel, set in a peaceful neighbouhood. My single room was small and could have been bigger, but it had all that i needed. The reception area and dining areas were nice, modern and spacious. The best part of the hotel was the poolside and the lounging area. I got a fantastic tan! and your not overlooked by neighbours. The worst part is that the families quarters are attached to the building and they have to walk past you when your at the poolside. It wouldn't be that bad if they were nice, approachable and didn't walk by as though your not there! I found that some of the staff were very rude and didn't try to assist you if you didn't speak spanish. I would certainly go back to palma but I would chose another hotel.
