Just had a lovely few days in Gran Canaria at these wonderful apartments. I really can't fault the place, the service was good, the staff were very friendly and the location was great (very quiet and on a very quiet road). The standard of our suite was exceptionally good and we had a fantastic balcony overlooking the pool and the golf course. The pool bar was particularly good and the food served there was outstanding for the price. The only small problem we encountered was a shortage of hot water very late in the evening. I will definately go to these apartments again.

We read the most recent review before travelling and thought it seemed at odds with previous reviews. However having just returned from a week at the Vital Suites we would have to agree with their general points. The only 4 star attraction at this facility is the Wellness Centre/Spa. The rooms whilst spacious have cheap fixtures and fixings that are no better than other apartment blocks in the resort, which do not charge 203 Euros a night. The location and setting of the development is good but on the downside the food quality is appalling. Thankfully we only had breakfast and I did feel sorry for people who had booked half board. Having stayed at the Riu Palace the previous week for the same price (and with evening meal included) we feel able to compare the food and general services objectively. To be honest there is no comparison and the Vital Suites should set its tarriff at a more realstic rate so that people are not fooled into thinking that they are booking to stay at a 4 star hotel. If Dunas spent more on the rooms and improved the food quality then perhaps the development would live up to the standards of the excellent setting and Wellness Centre.
