What Travellers Like
- In a great location on the Grand Via this hotel offers a standard of luxury greater than its 4 stars might imply. Look around for a deal when booking, as its possible to get breakfast included in the rates. The executive upgrade is worth paying extra for - providing access to a comfortable and complimentary lounge/ bar. If staying in a room overlooking the street, insist on one with sound-proofing as the street is very noisy all night long. The hotel provides old-school, if a little dated, glamour - brass rails and chandillers - and the rooms are huge. Bathrooms are full-on marble with flufy bathrobes.. Read review

- stannn - We had a club emperador room which was large with a seating area and fantastic bathroom. Whilst the room was at the front it was not noisy. We had access to the emperador lounge which was well worth it with a free bar to relax in at the end of the day and a seperate restaurant for breakfast although I have to say that the breakfasts in the main restuarant were superb. The staff were always polite and helpful.. Read review

- Satisfied1 - The location is good, right in the middle of the City Center. Our room on the first floor was above the Kitchen. When we arrived there was no A/C in the room. There was a sticker on the wall telling us to conserve water. The rooms are spacious but the furniture is old and the wall paper on the walls is peeling off.. Read review

- member - The rooms are lush and spacious, plenty of amenities and the breakfasts are great as well. While at times we had a bit of difficulty communicating in English with some of the staff, still they were always friendly and gracious.. Read review

1.9We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights on 17th June and whilst it was a nice looking hotel and a good location the rooms were small and basic. A good point about the hotel is its roof top pool which is pretty but be warned it is freezing! All in all the hotel staff are friendly however some will go out......

1My girlfriend and I booked a Club Room in the Emperador for 3 nights. On check-in (after getting ripped off by that nice taxi driver) we discovered our room simply stank of cigarettes. Bizarrely, the hotel's website does not allow guest to specify a non-smoking room when booking. My partner rang reception......

3What we liked the most about the hotel was its location. The people at the front desk are not very friendly (except for Aurora. Breakfast was included in our package and was ok, no complaints but nothing fantastic either....

3The room was clean but small and I wouldn't consider it 4* standard. Had a view of a brick wall and as the room was joined to another we could hear voices/TV through the wooden door. Toiletries provided weren't great (would have liked some conditioner! However the location was excellent and the swmming......
