First rate location and so easy to find from Puerto del sol metro station. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the room was not too cramped, but we felt a couple of things would have made our stay even more enjoyable. The staff in reception weren't as friendly as they might have been, though they were efficient. More information in the room itself would have helped -time of breakfast, maps, restaurant recommendations - all the usual stuff. Go there , though, for the superb location.

The only advantage I can think of is hotel's location. Apart from that, it is a disaster. Old, stinky, and dirty rooms, awful breakfast (only pastry), disguisting bathrooms. I wouln't recommend it to anyone.

ok, so its a 2 star hotel. but its not bad. there are large cracks in all the walls in the hotel, i thought it was just in my room. but they are everywhere, i was in room 429 which is only a room, the bathroom/shower in down the hall and down another hall, so its inconvenient. a good location just off puerto del sol. i was only here for one night, no english channels on tele to catch up with the news. like ive said previously big cracks in the walls, it has a ceiling fan which is noisy, very noisy creaky bed, on a wooden floor, so dont turn over in bed..... i wouldnt suggest this hotel for more than one night, but thats just based on the hotel room i had. breakfast is included, i only had jam and toast with strong coffee which was delicious, but they have a few cereals, and pastries. staff seem friendly and got help with luggage upto my room which is nice for this little place. have fun, see you soon. preston

This hotel is ideally placed on a pedestrian street between the Puerta del Sol and the Opera house. The Plaza Mayor and the Real Palace are both within 5 minutes walk as are some of the many tapas bars and restaurants. The hotel is basic, but comfortable and exceptionally clean with friendly and polite staff. The rooms are of reasonable size and have a small personal safe. The bathrooms are small and although the fixtures are a bit dated, are kept very clean and the towels are changed daily. There is continual noise in the hotel, but this is unavoidable given the hotel location - take some ear plugs to ensure a good night's sleep. Breakfast is included in the price and includes a choice of cereals, bread, croissants and pastries. Coffee, a choice of teas and fruit juice is also available. The slightly bizarre lift system ensures that getting to rooms on some of the floors will involve walking up or down stairs, but the staff will help with your bags. If you are looking for a good value hotel, right in the centre of Madrid, this is an excellent choice.
