Travelodge Torrelaguna - Madrid, Spain

A modern hotel situated in the Torrelaguna area of Madrid. The location of the hotel is ideal if you do not want to stay in the center of Madrid and want to escape the traffic mayhem! Beware though, as I discovered many taxi drivers do not know the hotel as it is less than 6 months old. If you want to get into the centre of Madrid, then the bus stop outside the hotel allows access to the cetnre. The hotel itself is very modern and is impressive the minute you walk in. A stylish bar/cafe and seating area where breakfast and lunch is served. The Hotel staff are one of the best in customer service. As we didn't know much Spanish and didnt know the area well, we asked for a lot of advice on where to visit! They were very helpful and friendly and gave us very good tips! We had two rooms booked. One Triple Room (Double & Sofa Bed) and One Double. Both rooms were clean and welcoming the minute we walked in. The bathroom was very spacious in both rooms. Overall, We enjoyed our stay in Madrid and a big factor of this was because of Travelodge Torrelaguna! Definately Recommended!

Less expensive, especially with longer stay. A short walk to the metro, bus stop right outside hotel. Off the beaten path in a more business/commercial area, took about 30 minutes to get to historic center via metro. Breakfast available, did not eat, but it looked and smelled good. Used for tour groups, some noise at night but nothing that kept me from sleeping.

The only big problem is that they make me pay at check in...I usually pay the hotel when I check out.

This hotel has a bus stop out front so it is very convenient to get into Madrid, not a lot of restaurants around - we ate in Madrid most of the time.

La habitación era muy amplia y estaba muy limpia. Las señoras de la limpieza limpiaron la habitación incluso un día que salimos de ella casi a mediodía. El problema es que hacía muchísimo calor y el aire acondicionado no se podía regular. Además nuestra habitación estaba justo frente a la puerta de salida y no parábamos de oir como entraba y salía la gente. Muy cerca del hotel hay un VIPs y un Opencor. El parking de debajo del hotel es carísimo pero normalmente se puede encontrar buen sitio en las calles de alrededor.
