We really enjoyed staying at Principe Pia. The location was excellent, close to central Madrid. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was very nice. We are very pleased to have stayed there.
We were very pleased with our experience of this slightly faded but very functional hotel- near to the train and buses as well as a comfortable walking distance to town , plus a good value breakfast cafe just a few doors up. the staff were extremely helpful and were keen to practice their English! a recommendation would be to ask for a room at the back of the hotel as this has a spectacular view of the palace (the best photo opportunity we came across!)
I think, It's a "revival" hotel, classic" seventies fournitures, but "derly loved". The situation is excellent; near of Sabatini gardens, Palacio real, Austrias distric, is to tell, in the heart of Madrid. Notwithstanding, is a typical hotel for traveller people, that like walking the city in his free time or holidays. It's not "bussines" class hotel.
I stayed with my Girlfriend and the hotel is excellent in terms of its service. The best thing is the proximity to all places which are just at walking distance aor just convinient by cabs. Staff speaks very good english and are helpful in all aspects. I will definately stay at same place next time to Madrid and will recommend this place to anyone who travels..
Had an excellent stay in Madrid.
