Perfect when your plane is leaving early

Because our flight left at 06:30 a.m. in the morning we stayed the last night in Madrid at the Clement Barajas hotel. We took the bus at the bus station in Avde de Americas (underground station) because we read that the bus stops right in front of the hotel and we could also use our 3-day travelling pass for this ride. The bus trip took of course longer than travelling by underground to barajas airport but we had spare time and were tired of our shopping spree that day. Hotel was perfect; nice helpful staff, good internet facilities, nice room and bathroom. We did not stay for dinner at the hotel because it was a bit too quiet for us as we did not see many guests (on a Friday night). Could be that they all went to bed early ! We booked the shuttle at 05:00 a.m. in the morning. Very nice service to find fresh coffee and some cakes waiting for us in the lobby as such an early time. We will definitely stay here again.

Smart and Efficient

Used this hotel to to stay overnight near to the airport as we had a 4.30am start. It was clean, smart and did exactly what we needed it to. We dropped our hire car off at the airport the afternoon of our arrival at the hotel and the hotels shuttle bus picked us up and brought us back to the hotel- it was about a five minute drive. Our room was compact but had everything we needed. The bed was comfy, decor good and all the staff were friendly and polite. They also speak very good English. The area isnt wonderful, but use common sense as you would in any large city - we felt OK walking round the neighborhood. We had a good steak at the grill house about five doors down. The early morning transfer to the airport was quick and efficient. I would use this hotel again without hesitation.

Perfect for a layover

The hotel is very conveniently located to the Madrid airport, the shuttle service is convenient, the rooms are spacious and clean and well-appointed, the staff is very friendly and helpful, and the small town has sufficient amenities for an overnight stay. The hotel was just what we needed for our 14-hour lay-over ... a great hassle-free place to rest during our flight home.

Great place for eginning or end of trip

We stayed here as our last night before flying out. It was perfect, as reported in other reviews here, especially for the end of the trip. Close to the airport, with a free shuttle. Sign up at least the day before. We did their buffet in the evening after checking in. Best deal we had in Spain. Pasta, salads, fruit, desert, for 8Eu. You can add on an entree if you like, but the basic had enough.

Good Choice

Great Choice for a hotel near the Madrid airport. Free high speed internet in the lobby is very helpful. Room was clean and cozy. The free airport shuttle was a nice touch. Make sure you know which terminal you are in and when you call listen carefully as to where they will meet you. Make sure you schedule your return shuttle in advance. It was a fifteen minute walk to the metro to get downtown but was an easy commute. Would stay here again.
