Stayed at the Hotel Emperatriz for four nights in September. It's located in the upscale Salamanca area with a Metro stop five minutes away. I emailed in advance to make sure we had an exterior room on a high floor and that's exactly what we got. The room was lovely, nicely decorated and clean with a large window overlooking a small park. Because it's on a small street off Paseo de Castellano, there's little traffic noise. The hotel staff were pleasant and most spoke some English. Would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.

the hotel is fine but the staff are not that prof.like when i asked for a taxi no one helped me so i had to go by my self to find one. 3.7more on Venere

Really really good. I'd advice to go there. Well served by public transportation.
Quiet and clean.
