Very Central - Great Breakfast Posted: Mon, Nov 23 2009

The pre-amble to booking said that all rooms have street views. Mine however looked onto a dark inside triangle containing the kitchens. My single room was smaller than the bathroom, however it was comfortable tho' very hot and no air conditioning, (I know it was November, however it was still very warm for Brits!). As has been said before, the Reception Staff could have been more friendly and helpful and could certainly learn from the Concierge and Buffet Staff. The hotel is very well located tho' and the breakfasts are superb. Despite my comments I hope to stay again next year.

This is a beautiul small hotel which has been recently redecorated, close to the Puerto de Sol and Plaza Mayor and two shopping distrticts. The staff is friendly and the rooms are comfortable, if small. They offer FREE fast dependable internet wireless. There is a bar, but no restaurant (except for breakfast) but just outside the hotel is a very good sushi restaurant (many of the guests are Japanese) and nearby are plenty of other good places to eat. I have stayed here for the past 25 years and the place has only gotten better and better. It also has the world's smallest elevator (one of two) which generally provides a conversation topic among the guests!
