Egido Via Lusitana - Madrid, Spain

This was our first stay in this hotel, our daughter has just moved to nearby Aluche, and the hotel was ideally situated for us. A 121 or 131 bus took us to Aluche station, the bus stop is just across the road from the hotel. There is a metro station beside the hotel, but the line it is on was not convenient for us. The large Isathul shopping centre is a short 155 bus ride from the hotel, or a 10 minute walk. The hotel appears to me to be recently refurbished, the corridors and rooms are spotless and as new. Good water pressure in the shower and instant hot water in the wash basin. Compared to what I've paid in Barcelona, this hotel is reasonably priced, of course it's not in the city centre, but with the excellent Madrid transport system, travel is easy, fast and efficent and very reasonable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who isn't concerned about having to travel a few extra stops to get to the city centre. Indeed, my Mother and Sister are going to Madrid next week, and guess where they're staying ? Yes, the Lusitana, and I'll be back, Deo volente.

Right on the Metro line and in good area. The cafe down the street was great for breakfast.
