3We asked for a non-smoking room, but we were given the opposite.
Before checking in, we asked the rates for the stay at the hotel, we were asked 173 euros + 7% tax, per night with no breakfast. Through venere we paied about 118 per night..
The clercks were not friendly.
The hotel is very well located, near museums, restaurants, city center and all the best shopping areas. If you like italian you can go to Ginos (nice and cheap), if you like american you can stroll to plaza de espanha and there's a friday's, if you like sandwich you can go to rodilla, and all the fast food joints are also available.
The hotel is old fashioned, and no link to gaudi is present except for some copy's of his paintings.
I believe you can get better hotels just 2 blocks away for better prices.
