4.5The Hotel Prado is a fantastic location from which to explore Madrid. It's very centrally located, with the major attractions of the city in easy walking distance. The area of the city is very touristy but has excellent restaurants and felt very safe. We were frustrated by the lack of directions to the hotel on the website but figured it out. (Get off at the Seville metro stop and turn onto Calle de Cedaceros, turn right on Carrera de San Jeronimo and left on Calle de Ventura de la Vega.) The value for the money was great, the only problem was that the walls are very thin. We heard people in other rooms and on other floors. However, it didn't affect our sleep or our stay. There's a nice lounge and the hotel staff suited our needs. We chose not to eat the breakfast, as it was a little pricey, but found some excellent cafes for our morning meal. All in all, I highly recommend the Hotel Prado.
