"Good hotel for airport access"

We found the hotel comfortable and the service great. We read the reviews on this website after we booked the hotel and I was a little worried, but I didn't find any of the problems other people complained about. Granted if you want to be in the center of town, this is not a good location. We wanted to be close to the airport, because we were flying out in the morning it was. The shuttle was right there when we wanted to leave in the morning. The food in the restaurant was good and there were other restaurants at the hotel complex right next door. The room was clean and comfortable and the shower worked fine and had hot water. I must admit the shower was a little confusing to operate. I really wonder if the other folks who wrote reports stayed at a different hotel. They could use better signage as you approach the hotel. Our taxi driver located it visually with no problem, but it took us about five circles to figure out what street to turn into to get to the front door.

It is an OK hotel for a night or two. It is close enough to the airport not to stress about Madrid's legendary morning traffic jams and it has a laptop in every room. However it's a bit pricey as soon as you get extras (guarded parking @ EUR 17). Quiet but uninspiring sorroundings (high-rise flat blocks).

Very good hotel out of the way though, excellent but shody bathrooms, mine had the glass door roller at the bottom broken, and the spray nozzels were dirty because the water was going everywhere but straight. Other then that it was very spacious and very nice to stay in. Staff is ok you won't see to many of them, and if you do they're usually in the little office at the back or talking with each other on the seats. Never tried the restaurant or bar. The station is about a 10min walk it will take you about 30min to find the place but then it takes 10min after its very easy from the station walking, it you take a taxi it will cost you because it's situated between two one way roads that come from the hwy. The station there is Almeda de Osuna it's the green line and it takes you directly straight to the Gran Via or Callao stations, pretty much the center of town. There are some places around the hotel like the Ghost Madrid club, it's actually more for older people, Internet access is free both wifi and in-room, bring your own laptop though because the Linux bootable OS might not be for everyone.
