The Receptionists were all very nice and helpful, however the lady serving breakfast was not very polite. It was difficult to communicate since she did not speak English

I stayed here during December 2008. The hotel is in a good location (Chueca, Gran Via, Puerto del Sol area). Many bars and restaurants in the neighborhood. Rooms were large (by European standards). Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms are simple and have little character, other than the small patio deck where you can sit and have some fresh air. There is alot of street noise at night, as the hotel sits on the edge of the lively Chueca area. If you plan to go to bed early, ask for a room that is on the Calle Clavel side rather than the Calle Infantas side, that will help a bit.

I am a single staright male.I stayed for one night at a good price. SAN LORENZO is in a great central location. The walls are thin so you here noise if there is any. I stayed on monday night so it was ok. The only reason I would not like to stay again is that there is No Fire Escape and as smoking is permitted this adds to the danger. But its fine other than that with lovely honest helpful staff. I dont think a fire escape would cost much and then I feel it would be a great spot to base yourself for a few days. Kevin
