Percy Arms Hotel - Otterburn, United Kingdom     

My friend and I stayed in this hotel for one night, we only paid ?48 for our double room with laterooms.com which I thought was really cheap considering how impressed we were with our room. It was a large room with good view, a comfy double bed with canopy over and had a seating area and dressing table. The furnishings were really old fashioned but that added to the charm of the place, it was spotlessly clean. The bathroom had just been refurbished and was huge for a small hotel, again everything was clean and new. The staff were really friendly on reception, in the bar and at breakfast. The only minor complaint I had was the breakfast, it is cooked for you and as I dont like tomatoes, mushrooms 0r black pudding, I only got 1 slice of bacon, 1 sausage and an egg, it was really small and I thought they could have given me an extra piece of bacon or another sausage at least! Overall excellent value for money, I will be staying there again when I visit my friend who lives in the next village.

Was just looking for a place to stay so turned up. Had not seen the reviews on TripAdvisor. Reception was friendly and helpful. Showed me the room. Excellent. Had a newly refurbished room with plenty of space and a seating area. Free wireless internet - worked well. I needed a map printing off. The manager was extremely helpful - let me use his computer and printer. Breakfast was self service - lots of whatever you wanted and well presented.
