Stayed at this hotel with a friend for one week in June 2008 and I must say that this hotel is a very positive surprise.
At the arrival we were met by a very nice and charming young lady who was very helpful and kind. Throughout our stay she always had a smile and a nice comment everytime we passed the reception area. Her other colleagues were also very smiling and we felt very welcome. They vere always helpful.
The hotel has very nice common areas and the pool area is lovely with lots of space and sunbeds. There is also an outside cafe/restaurant by the pool. All the areas are very clean and inviting. Common areas feels more like 4 star and the room 3 star. The hotel is classified with 3 stars.
The breakfast is very nice. It doesn't have everything as you would find in a more luxurious hotel, but more than enough to get you going in the morning. You can also by dinner and some light meals in the restaurant, in the bar and the outside area by the pool.
The rooms are somewhat basic, but is perfectly OK and the room we stayed in on 4th floor had a nice balcony with 2 chairs and a little table. The only drawback was some stains on the carpeted floor. The view towards Palma city center was great. Our room had a fridge and there were 2 plates so you could make hot food and in addition there were glasses, plates and some cutlery. The bathroom was quite spacious with a bathtub and a shower and the bath was spotlessly clean.
The hotel is situated on a hill above Porto Pi in a very quiet area both nighttime and daytime. No traffic exept for the wing facing west. I don't think I have ever stayed in such a quiet and nice hotel. No people running in the corridors at night and we never heard any of the other guest even though there were guest both under and beside our room.
For some people the hill to the hotel may feel a bit steep, but it didn?t bother us. The hotel is about 300 m from Porto Pi shopping center and and about 2-3 km from the city center of Palma. It took about 10 minutes by taxi from Palma airport and we paid about EUR 20 each way.
I would definiately stay there again and I can recommend this hotel to anyone.

I stayed at this hotel with my wife and 3 year old son for 3 nights at the end of our recent holiday.
The hotel is situated on a hillside above the main harbour for ferries/cruise ships, about 3 miles from the centre of Palma, although don't let that put you off. This hotel is half the cost of city centre hotels, and the additional cost/inconvenience of getting a bus or taxi really is worth it.
The rooms were studio style, with private bathroom and small kitchen area. Great having a fridge in the room! The rooms and public areas were very clean, as well as a great pool/terrace area and bar and breakfast room. The breakfast was buffet style continental affiar. The food was of particularly high quality. The staff were friendly and helpful, requests for extra pillows were sorted immediately.
There is a large shopping centre about 500 metres away at Porto Pi, great selection of shops and a place where you can catch the tourist sightseeing bus. (13 euros for 24 hours/ 16.25 for 48 hours) The open top bus offers hop on/hop off at most major sights as well as commentry of points of interest on route. Alternatively the route 1 bus runs along the sea front to the city centre and cost 1.10 euros) There is also a night bus that passes nearby. If you like to walk, then it is a gentle stroll along the seafront and marinas to the Cathedral.
A quick note regarding Palma as a weekend break desitination, not all shops/restauarants open on Saturaday, and virtually all the shops are closed on Sunday, I recommend Palma as a midweek break, when the place was buzzing, it really was a bit of a ghost town on the Sunday we stayed.
