Park Hotel Capomulini - Acireale, Italy     

This hotel is not good enough for 2 stars not to mention the other two. For one thing, it is dirty and smelly inside and out. Then, they give you only one key per family. The requested baby crib was delivered to our room by the second night of us staying there. Photo camera disappeared from the room on first day. Location is extremely inconvenient. Food in the restaurant is uneatable.

First visit tio Sicily,so spent too much time on t/a web site!We had 9 nights,6 at this hotel and 3 in Mondello.We had a large room with a side view of the sea and large balcony.The beds were hard but quite comfortable.Some hallway and other room noise,but not to any serious problem.Very tiny shower and just 2 plactic chairs on balcony,that were taken away on 3rd day. I found the lights in the room quite dim if you wanted to read. Morning meals were disappointing for us.Generally the hotel has clean and comfortable public areas,but from the pool area there are no sea views.The hotel seems to receive mostly French and German guests.The area around was untidy and you would need a car to see the sights in the wider area.Big note of caution the locals driving standards are hectic, if someone hits you repair costs may still hit your credit card because unless you called the police the car hire company could well bill you. Overall the east cost was interesring but we would not go back.
