Gran Hotel Soller - Soller, Spain 

We stayed at the Gran Hotel Soller and had a marvellous time. The hotel is set in the beautiful town of Soller and is set back off the street. All the staff were extremely helpful and very friendly - especially the bar and waiter staff - nothing was ever too much trouble and they would bend over backwards to help you. I read that a previous guest had trouble getting a drink after 11.00 pm but we never had this problem! We had dinner in the front garden twice and the food was excellent. Our rooms were bright and extremely clean. The rooftop terrace was a wonderful setting to sit and have breakfast whilst taking in the breathtaking scenery. We had a wonderful 4 days and shall be returning next year.

We stayed in this hotel in april as a part of our shortbreak. The location is stunning, definatelly one of the nicer parts of island. Quiter and unspoilt. Town gets busy in a day but still keeps its 'spanish' charm. Hotel Gran soller is a lovely hotel in a very nice building. Check in was good, but the reception get quite busy as they only have one person on duty. Rooms are clean and spacious. We had a breakfast at the rooftop which was nice, especially the freshly squeezed orange juice. Im not big breakfast person, but i think other people might find it bit limited. The one things that was disappointing is that we couldn't get a drink after 11pm from the hotel bar. We were sent to our bedroom to use the minibar! I know that it was quiet time of the year but as it is 5* hotel they should provide this service at any time! If you go you have to take the tram down to Port de Soller! So nostalgic and romantic! Soller is great place for bike enthusiasts, there's a bike hire shop in Port de Soller. We didn't try food in hotel, but there's a lovely restaurant down in port called Piratos and they to fab tapas. Would i go back? Probably as i like the location, but wouldn't spend 7 days there as I might get bored after while.
