We stayed here at the beginning of May and as we'd never been before were pleasantly suprised. The hotel was very clean, lovely indoor & outdoor, pools, friendly staff and excellent breakfast offering loads of choice. Guests were mainly German & Spanish but, there were a few other English people staying. El Rompido village is very quiet and has a fantastic beach and sand dunes (via a 10 minute boat trip, free tickets provided by the hotel) and is a lovely place for a relaxing holiday. If you want to be active there are walks/cycle routes through the natural park next to the hotel and plenty of activities provided free of charge. There is also a Spa providing lots of treatments if you fancy pampering yourself. We didn't eat in the hotel for lunch or dinner and only the main buffet restaurant was open as we stayed out of season. There weren't a large number of restaurants in the resort & some were closed until June but, the ones we tried were good and value for money. There is a small commercial centre next to the hotel with a few shops and a few restaurants.We went to Seville for the day which was only an hours drive away and is well worth a visit. I'd definitely return to this hotel in the future but, would probably visit from June onwards when more things are open.

We booked this holiday early last year as there were some great rates to be had. What we thought we had paid for, upon arrival had all changed. The all-inclusive is very poor. We were told when we booked that food was available pretty much all the time and that the kids could help themselves to drinks and burgers etc. This has all changed for the 2008 summer season. Adults have to be with the kids when they go for drinks/ice creams and the all day food has been replaced by sandwiches (if that is what you can call them!). The evening meals are pretty repretitive (if you like squid your fine). After one week, we went to some of the local restaurants to escape the mind boring food. The entertainment is a joke, same old band bletting out rubish every night and they definity water down the drinks (have you every tried tesco's home made). The room was fine (clean), but the room does not make the holiday. Consider other hotels in the area which are certainly seem to be more suited to providing an 'all inclusive' holiday experience.
