The image of this venue is shown mainly around the imposing country house which it is set in is misleading about the reality. What the guests experience is very plain rooms based upon the university hall of residence model - small bathroom with reduced size tub etc. The rooms are also a significant distance from the lovely house down dowdy often chilly corridors. The accommodation is spread very widely down a warren of LONG corridors that can be very confusing and time wasting for many guests. Add to this that they still run the old style model of charge guests a moderate price but then everything is extra and expensive - phone 25p per unit etc. They charge for WiFi and use their own system so if you have a membership of The Cloud, BTopenzone iBhan etc you can't use their system! They need to offer honest pricing and get more up to date and like many outlets offer WiFi for free - check out Radisson etc - they give much better service at similar prices – with free WiFi in all hotels.
I don't think I will be returning to this venue if I can help it.
