Catalonia Consul - Cala Bona, Spain 

Having read some of the reviews for this hotel I went on this holiday rather concerned. I really didn't need to be. Hotel was lovely and clean our room overlooked the pool and mountains - room 415 the best rooms were the ones overlooking the harbour but this didn't put us off. The Hotel is right in front of the harbour and only a small walk from a little beach with some excellent restaurants overlooking the sea. The hotel staff were excellent both on reception and in the restaurant & bar. The entertainment was ok but to be honest with the bars and the harbour you didn't want to stay too long in the bar. The food was a very good 3 star standard with lots to choose from. The pool although small was very clean and the water was checked daily. The pool area has its own bar with lunchtime food and drinks available. The pool area was very clean. So if you are looking a spending a week or two in this hotel you will not be disappointed. I have to say this was the best holiday I have had.

we go abroad 5 times a year,and i must say it was a pleasure from day one to stay here. lovely helpful reception staff,friendly and helpful dining room staff,lovely food lots of choice both for breakfast and evening meal.the paid entertainment was quite good,although most people went out at night.Although in the centre it was so quiet even on the balcony overlooking the harbour at night (sea view a must its breathtaking)i just emailed and asked for one before we went.lots of bars but no drunks up and down that we saw! a good 20 to 25min walk to cala millor to get to the centre,very busy shops bars cafes etc,and mostly our german friends up there.fab hotel for all although not much for the kiddies.bad point about 1 and a half hour transfere at least,but was worth it and would do again.thanks consul.
