1We'd rather sleep on the street but actually with the lack of soundproofing, we felt like like we were!
This is meant to be a 4 star hotel but it was appalling. In addition to the noise from the street and other guests' bathrooms, the staff were the really standout feature for us. Rude and uninterested when we complained FOUR times that we needed a hairdryer that was not hanging off the wall. The two male front desk staff also clearly had an issue dealing with women as my partner had to point out to them when they kept directing their grunts to him rather than to me. Typical response was no to everything:
- We can't sleep because of the noise outside, can we have a room at the back? "No",
- Do you mean to tell us all rooms are taken? "No",
- Can we have our hairdryer repaired as we have asked twice already? "Grunt",
- Are you actually interested in what we are saying? "No"
etc etc
The decor is faded and the rooms chintzy. The in room breakfast was also small and not great. We considered refusing to pay except we did not want to spend the last two days of our holiday on such a poor note. We'd strongly recommend that you do not stay there!
