Tilsitt Etoile - Paris, France     

The hotel location is excellent. There are cafes and restaurants of all sorts nearby, as well as stores ranging from small convenience stores to larger specialty shops. There are also parks nearby. The hotel itself has a bar in the lobby with service around the clock, a restaurant, and room service. The food was excellent. There is hotel staff round the clock, and I and others staying there in my group found them very helpful and accommodating. They often went the extra mile. The luggage I had left there while gone one day was not only cheerfully stored, it was waiting for me in my room! It was a pleasure staying there. I would definitely stay there again, and would recommend the hotel to friends. There were a few minor mechanical problems (elevator, phone jack) but these were attended to by the staff as soon as they were reported. The staff on duty insisted that the elevator tech come in even though it was July 14th (Bastille Day), so that guests would not be too inconvenienced.

We stayed at the Hotel Tilsitt Etoile for three nights with a group of friends. We were planning on staying for two nights but the offer of a free third night was too good to turn down! The hotel is located just minutes from the Arc de Triomphe and the metro but on a quiet road so the rooms were very peaceful. The room we had was large and spotlessly clean with an amazingly comfortable bed. The bathroom was smallish but had a bath tub and lovely toiletries. The hotel has a 24 hour bar in the lobby and serves breakfast in the basement which is good but a little steep at 13 Euros. There is a very excentric lift which worked most of the time! The staff are excellent and speak very good English and they are happy to help book taxis etc which is a great help. They even remembered our room number which I forgot all the time! All in all this is a great hotel and I would recommend it to anyone not looking to break the bank in Paris.
