The Best Western is an excellent location for those wanting to explore Rhodes on foot. Within 10 mins of old town and harbour / beach. Easy to get to public bus stations for touring wider afield. Recommend Lindos / Butterfly (Moth) Valley / Mount Filerimos. Symi by boat is also worth a trip. Visit the tourist information centre for bus timetables and museum / attraction opening times. Various attractions were not operating including Sound and Light show, Grand Masters Palace museums and wall walk. We booked well in advance through the Best Western Hotels site but still on arrival were not given the selected pool view room. This was immediately corrected upon complaining. The room rate we had of 81 euros per night including breakfast was a good deal. In room safe cost an additional 3 euros per day - paid 20 euros for 10 nights. Breakfast was OK, no fresh squeezed orange juice nor "English" toast but an excellent egg / pancake chef. Room size adequate, bathroom and balcony small. All clean and housekeeping changed bedding frequently. Satellite TV gave 2 English language news channels although set was old and picture was discoloured. Pool was clean and a pleasure for an afternoon dip. Plenty of free loungers / umbrellas including some new loungers during our stay. No towel reservation allowed. Free pool towels from reception We didn't eat in the hotel at night as there are numerous restaurants in both Old and New Town. Hotel runs a low budget buffet. Some favourite restaurants included: New Town: La Casa (best value), Antique (Live Music / dancing), Koykos (great baguettes freshly made); Old Town: Island Lipsi (sister restaurant of Antique - try the mixed grill for 2 if you are really hungry). Staff generally friendly and helpful. Keeping the room until 8pm on departure day for 30 euros gave us a full final day in Rhodes and was good value.

Great location in Rhodes Town, close to the harbour and Medieval Old Town but not too far from the windier beachside. The hotel is open all year round and offers very good and friendly service and seems to be well patronised by Greeks visiting from other islands/mainland as well as tourists. The buffet breakfast included in the reasonable tariff was good.
