We booked this hotel for our three-night stay in Rome based on the excellent reviews here. We weren't disappointed! The room was immaculate and the owners were super-friendly. It was surely one of the finest hotel rooms I have stayed at for this price. A big plus was that we could set the room temperature ourselves, so we were never too hot or cold. The only minus about the room was that the shower, or jacuzzi actually, was a bit hard to use. The hotel is a bit far from the historical center, but buses run very frequently to all destinations, so it didn't really matter in the end. Also, don't be afraid to check out some neighboorhood restaurants, we felt we found the real Rome in one nearby pizzeria.

Just returned from a four night break in Rome and would not hesitate to recommend the Domus Inn Hotel. Our room was a good size with a very comfortable bed and cleaned every day. A generous Continental breakfast is brought to your room each morning if required and is a good start to the day. The staff are extremely pleasant and helpful and speak good english. Although the rooms are double glazed the traffic noise can still be heard (as with alot of the hotels in Rome) and ear plugs are recommended. Bus stops to various destinations around the city are on the doorstop, buy your bus/metro ticket from the local Lotto shop before boarding. There are some very good restaurants within walking distance, we ate at Piccolo Abruzzo and Brancaleone Osteria Pizzeria, the first being the most expensive. Both restaurants are owned by Alessandro and the service and food are very good. Reception will give you directions (they are opposite each other). This hotel is on the fourth floor of an apartment building and except for the traffic is very quiet. There is no bar or restaurant within the building but there are mini bars within the rooms. We will certainly stay here again on our next visit to Rome.
