What Travellers Like

After reading other travellers reviews we were aware that there was some building work going on outside and the general advice was to ask for a room as high as possible, not only for the views but because of the noise! When we arrived we were told that we had only booked and paid for a standard room which would only get us a room as high as the 6th floor, however we were given the option to upgrade an extra 12 euro's a night upto 15 floor (I think), then extra 24 euro's upto 20 floor then even more to get higher and a suite. We opted for an extra 12 euro's to get a room on the 15 floor. We were a little early checking in so left our cases and hopped on a tourist bus, when we returned we were delighted to find that the kind receptionist had given us a double bed executive room on the 20th floor with the most amazing views! The bed was huge and really comfortable and the room had the TV sound linked into the bathroom. Our package included breakfast and we'd certainly recommend you try and get breakfast included as it was an extra 20 euros each a day otherwise. The breakfast selection was huge and of good quality including a health section with a fresh smoothie every morning. Recommend you treat yourself to a session in the spa for only 6 euro's each. All the staff that we came into contact with always had a smile. As the hotel is in the financial district we used the metro to visit all the other parts of the city.. Read review

Great service, when arrived had friendly greeting, with staff making helpful suggestions of local attractions and offering a choice of rooms, our room wasn't all that high up but the views were still amazing and the room was lovely- marble floors and lovely large bathroom. There is a direct train from the airport to sants station which is right next to the hotel, and this journey is covered by your t-10 ticket. The station is on more than one metro line and although it is slightly out of the centre of town it is no trouble to use the air conditioned metro system to go a few stops to get to other areas. The bus turistic was also worthwhile although rather steep at 20 euros a day or 26 for 2 days but it is a very thorough hop on hop off system and it takes at least a day to go around all the 3 routes which the ticket covers. The bus stops right next to the hotel as well which again was really useful.. Read review

Brilliant hotel across the road from the main Sants station and just a couple of stops from the centre. Dont miss breakfast on the 23rd floor restaurant the view is fantastic. When going out to eat go through the station and cross over the road at the front and go a few hundred yards up the straight and you will come to very reasonable Spanish Restaurants which do not rip you off they are not the tourist filled places but full of locals. Use the metro to get in to Sants station from the Airport get a 10 trip ticket if you are staying for a few days and this also covers your trip to and from the Airport.. Read review

For a 3 night break I thought it was a great location. Coming from Barcelona airport we took the train to Sants station which was approx. Coming out of Sants station the hotel is directly opposite the station, about a 5 mins walk. Daniel at reception checked us in and he was very polite, informative and gave us a map and highlighted all the main attractions of the city. The plus side to this was that the hotel around the corner Epox Hotel had an outdoor pool on the roof, free of charge to Torre Catalyuna guests. This was great as we could sunbathe and use the pool with the benefits of a spa in the hotel, even though we had to pay for it. We did use the spa which I would recommend as it was lovely and great to relax for a couple of hours after a days of city sightseeing.. Read review

Very convenient locations - right near the Barcelona Sants train station, the hotel is fairly new and the staff are friendly. Rooms are big, restaurant at roof top excellent food excellent service and the health spa are also very good.
