Best Western Premier Hotel Regina - Barcelona, Spain     

We stayed at Hotel Regina for 5 nights and had a great experience there. We had prior contact with the manager to ensure we got a good room and he was very helpful and responsive to this request. We were very satisfied with the room and it was of good size and had all the amenities one would want. It was near the cleaning cupboard though and one suggestion is that maybe the cleaners could start later than 8am as it does wake guests up to hear them out in the corridor. The location of the hotel was great and it was accessible to the buses and all the main districts. Internet access was good but slowed right down toward the end of our stay and I think the hotel had technical problems with the internet connection. Overall though I would highly recommend this hotel and its location in Barcelona. It was clean, efficient, well run and well managed.

I stayed at this hotel September 2007, and had a good experience. I spend 20 nights a year in Europe, and the main reason I always stay at Best Western Hotels is that the air conditioners always work. Locally owned hotels in Europe often have their a/c turned off, or turned very low from the office, and you can not open the windows in the cities because of the noise, and the rooms are too hot to sleep. The room was plenty big by Europe standards, the a/c worked extremely well, the location was incredible, less than a block from Las Ramblas. The lobby was maybe the most "happening" lobby I have ever seen in a hotel. Every evening many people were in the lobby for cocktail hour, and there was a lively party with strangers. There were three computers for guests in an alcove of the lobby. The only drawback was that the staff when we arrived said they could not speak English, so they could not help with instructions or sightseeing. When I had any questions on sightseeing I walked to the computers in the lobby and went on tripadvisor. In summary, if I am in Barcelona again I will definitely stay there, and will highly recommend it to my friends.
