We stayed at the Hotel Ingles for 3 nights and we found it ideal. The location of this hotel is superb, literally 2 seconds walk on to Las Rambla. It also has a very nice little tapas restaurant and bar next door. The rooms are averagely sized, everything you need is there, t.v, safe etc, however the hotel doesn't have air con, there is only a fan nailed to the wall to keep you cool. And at this time of year, the temperature reached about 30degrees. I would recommend when you book you request a balcony room as we ended up with a room that faced out on to a small 1m x 1m courtyard which gave off no breeze as it was blocked in by a 3 storey wall! All in all the hotel was ideal, impeccably clean and i would recommend it to anyone. very good price at 50euros a night however breakfast is not included. Be aware that the staff speak very little english, however they try their best to help with any problems.

We stayed at the hotel as a stop off to a motorbike tour from London to Barcelona to see the MotoGP. My girlfriend booked the room for three of us. Luckily one of the group decided to head off into France and meet us at the GP later on. I say luckily as when she called them up to alter the booking it had not been made in the first place!!! The staff are not very good with English on the whole and she had difficulty understanding what was going on. This is not a complaint as you cannot expect them to understand English when they live is Spain. But if you have no language skills to fall back on then it can get a little difficult over the phone. Nadia is Italian so things were worked out eventually with a mixture of Italian, English & Spanish. The hotel is located just off the centre of La Rambla and it is a great place. The hotel itself is very small and can easily be missed as you walk down the street to find it. It is clean and the reception staff are friendly and helpful. The room was cleaned each day and they even tidied up our mess (with all the motorbike gear spread everywhere it looked like a bomb had landed!). Breakfast was included in the price but is served next door in a restaurant. It is just simple toast\brioche, coffee and juice. We tried the restaurant on the first night for tapas, I would recommend that you don't. It is not cheap ?25 for 8 selections and not worth it! There is no secure parking nearby for motorbikes, but the car parks obviously have no problem with cars. The photos on the previous reviews are a good indication of what you will get, small, clean and simple. The bathroom is small and only big enough for one at a time, but the shower and toilet work fine. Bed is reasonably comfortable, clean sheets and good pillows. We paid ?98/night for two nights and this needs to be paid up front. I think it's a little pricey, but then they were full both nights we stayed so it is popular and well located and you probably pay for this.
