Nice budget hotel.... Staff very keen to help. I'm a regular visitor to the city, and sadly most people think they have to base themselves in the Ramblas area, but this area is quieter at nights and with the added bonus of being yobbo free! Excellent frankfurter bar just around the corner.

Good hotel, not very central. Unfortunately, due to 8 hrs delay of our ferry, we got there at 4am and we appreciated the kindness of the night porter and the morning staff.

L'accueil fut bien peu chaleureux; très déçu de plus par l'étroitesse du parking (ma place n'était d'ailleurs pas réservée et j'ai dû protester)et la relative étroitesse de la chambre. Au total, hôtel passable, seulement de par sa propreté intérieure.

The hotel was nice and in a convenient location for the metro (closest station is Hospital Clinic on the L5 line - 5 min walk) The hotel is situated on a very very busy road that remains busy all night. There does not appear to be any double glazing and so the traffic noise was loud and constant all night. In addition there is an emergency hospital closeby and literally every few minutes or so, an ambulance would pass on full sirens. Two people in our party were lucky to have a room at the rear of the property and they stated that the traffic noise didn't affect them, so that could be the answer if you could request a rear facing room! I had booked a twin bedded room which I was assured would be available. However, on arrival we were told there were no twin rooms, so they had placed a 3rd bed in the double room. The rooms are extremely small and with a double bed only it would have been difficult to navigate round the room, so imagine it with another bed! You couldn't walk down the side of the bed or get into the wardrobe! The air conditioning left something to be desired. We were told it was not powerful enough to service the whole hotel at any one time, so they would put it on at odd times of the day or night for different floors. If you were on an even floor it would come on at 2am for example and if you were on an odd floor you might be lucky to have a blast of cold air around mid afternoon! It changed everyday though so it was a constant surprise! The breakfast, although expensive, was nice and there was plenty to eat in nice surroundings. The pool and jaccuzi facilities at the top of the hotel were nice also. All in all a nice hotel but with a lot of issues.

Dear Sir/madam, I had the worse experience with the booking on the following hotels: Nombre del establecimiento: Sunotel aston Fecha en que has pedido la reserva: May 11 2008 CÓDIGO DE RESERVA: IHR5231670 ESTADO DE SU SOLICITUD: confirmada FECHA DE LLEGADA: : 09 agosto 2008 FECHA DE SALIDA: 12 agosto 2008 NÚMEROS DE NOCHES: 3 I had filled a complain in Generalitat de Catalunia over this hotel, as the service published does not comply with a three star hotel. First night 1- The request of a room with extra bed was not ready on the arrival. 2- Two rooms were given to us, the alternative room diven to us was out of service (without aircon) and they knew it as had two fans in it. 3- They assumed the error and offered free breakfast and didn´t charge one night extra bed. Changed us to another room which was ok.... but... Second night 4- .... they switch off the air con of the room at mid night. 5- Faced the reception about the fact, they justified that, a request of another guest, due to noise of the air con in on room made them switch it off. 6- Was asked not to switch it of in the third night. Third night, they did it again, that's why I filled a complain. 7- We both got a cold because of that. In Barcelona all was ok except the lousy hotel Venere as their agent, is also responsible for this as I booked a air con room that in the did not have. The hotel reception blaim vanere as there is no selection request of extrabed an they didn´t read it under other requests. This ended in a three sleeplesss nights. I request the reimbursement of the payed amount. Writining also to the Spanish Hotel Standards Association to file them the same complaint. I can scan you the complaint on request. Regards Luis Cunha
