Cotursa Rocafort - Barcelona, Spain     

This hotel is great . It's located less than 5min walk from a metro station. The staff are very warm and welcoming. The facilities in the room are just what you need for a few nights stay. 20mins in a taxi to/from the airport. Definately recommend this hotel for long weekend visitors

Just came back from a weekend in Barcelona, first time visiting, stayed 2 nights at Evenia Rocafort. From airport: We took a taxi which was 22 euros it took us about half hour and even though the taxi man couldnt speak english, i showed him the address and he found it no problems. Reception: Nice decoration, good first impressions. Check in was quick and easy. Staff helpful, supplied us with a map and showed us all the places we wanted to go (look up things to do before you go, if your only going for a short stay). Hotel room: Just as the picture shows, mordern, clean and very nice. Mini bar, tv, use of internet if you want. The view outside was of another wall but that didnt really bother us, we could still look up and see how the weather was! Left a request on the door and the room was cleaned. Breakfast: Available for 8 euros, we didnt like the look of it and ate out which was nice. Location: Great! We had to get the Metro (bit like the Tube) but it was 3 or 4 stops to Las Rambals (Catalunya stop) and about 6 or 7 stops to Barceloneta beach. Very easy to get around, helpful maps at every station, a 2 day travel card cost 10 euros which we used a lot. Weather: Pleasantly surprised for January, it was lovely, warm and sunny, even had to take my jacket off one of the days. Bit cooler in the evenings, but still nice enough to walk about with just a jacket. Check-out: is at 12pm, to keep the room for longer costs a further 30 euros or alternatively they will keep your luggage secure while you go out. They ordered us a taxi for the airport which came right on time. Barcelona: Nice place, i wouldnt stay more than a few days. We managed to see all we wanted in 2 days, Parc Guell (lovely), Las Ramblas, The beach, the marina, port olympic, Pla?a Reial. We ate dinner at Port Olympic, staff at every restaurant try to get you to go in, and food was not that great! Overall: Lovely hotel, very pleased with choice and location.
