Group of us stayed at H10 Universitat for 3 nights for New Year. We couldn't have asked for more! Great value (about £40 per person per night) for a modern, funky hotel in a fantastic location (just off the Placa de Catalunya and Las Ramblas). Cava and nibbles on arrival. Very friendly and helpful staff on reception who made some good recommendations for restaurants and drinking establishments! Large room with modern decor and a superb shower. We asked for higher level rooms and our request was granted! Breakfast was of a high standard with great variety and perfect runny fried eggs!! The bar was cheap as chips; by far the cheapest rounds of drinks we had in all the bars we visited in Barcelona. Would certainly return to this hotel and would highly recommend to others.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights (Jan1 to Jan4, 08). The location of the hotel is superb, right around the corner from La Rambla & the Metro. We booked a single room for two people. When we arrived, we were brought into a tiny room with 1 twin size bed. When we saw this we immediately asked if we could have at least a bed big enough to fit 2 people. The staff was nice and courteous, they did put us in a different, same size room but with a bed big enough to fit 2 people. The room itself was absolutely tiny. We had no space to open our luggage. In order to walk around the bed we had to jump over our luggage. The room itself was very modern and done with taste. The door to the bathroom was a swinging, frosted glass door which looks cool but provided little to no privacy. As far as comfort goes, this hotel definitely lacked in. The 4 nights of stay was not as comfortable as I would've liked.
