4.2This is a nice, modern and well-run hotel. They do that 'Spanish' thing at the front desk in that they won't so much as acknowledge you until they're finished doing what they're doing, but that's a very small gripe - overall my stay was very pleasant.
It's clean, fresh and has a quite 'funky' feel to it. Standard rooms are quite small but the free wifi and internet access in reception are a nice touch and the room was spick and span and attended to every day.
I didn't go for the breakfast option because I'm a late sleeper and was glad I didn't because it seems a quite ambitiously priced buffet affair, for what you get in return. I ate mostly at the little corner cafe outside and had a toasted sandwich, coffee and juice for about €6.50.
Hotel is practically beside the Girona metro stop so if you don't fancy the 20 minute or so walk to the Ramblas and tourist areas, the hotel is well located. Buy a ten jorney ticket on your first day if you think you'll be using the metro a bit, it's cheaper that way!
I walked home in the small hours a few times and felt quite safe on the main streets as well.
I'd definitely stay here again, it's safe, modern, clean, well run and in a decent location, and is a good balance on cost and quality.
