Hotel Barbara - Barcelona, Spain     

Just come back from a 3 day stag weekend. All the staff were good as gold & very friendly...clean rooms...fresh towels each day...hot/cold running water...a toilet that works...need we have asked for more?? ok so its a bit seedy outside, but keep yourself to yourself and your wits about you then its fine. One of the boys were pick pocketed on the ramblas, even though some of the characters outside our hotel looked dodgy...they were the ones who left us alone If you want a REAL bit of Barca and your on a budget then get this is ok...wouldn't really stay here with the mrs buts thats only coz she'd flip (i know what side my breads buttered boys)... I stayed at the Barbara Hotel with my boyfriend last december, for five nights, and it was perfect: very cheap and very clean and basic, just what we were looking for! The room was not too small, the bathroom was VERY clean, and the staff was very friendly. It is situated in the red light distric of El Raval, BUT it's a two minutes walk to La Rambla, and no one bothered us on our way. I absolutely recommend this hotel if you're looking for a good clean place to rest after visiting and enjoying Barcelona!
